If you want to start cycling to work, but don’t know where to start or how to get there, then Bike Buddy could be just the thing for you.

Bike Buddy & Route Planning

Rotherham Council have partnered with Cycle Experience to offer a Bike Buddy service. A member of Cycle Experience will ‘Bike Buddy’ with anyone over 16 who wants to developĀ  the confidence to ride to work or college. They’ll meet you, check out your bike, assess your skills and when you feel confident enough, they’ll ride with you all the way from home to work (or college) and back. During the ride, you’ll learn about riding skills, how to negotiate with traffic (and not fear it) and how to get the best from cycling.

Sign up online for your session at www.cycleexperience.co.uk/cyclerotherham

Important Note: Bike Buddy is funded through the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) [see news page for further information] and supports active travel projects in the Dearne Valley area and Lower Don Valley. The Bike Buddy service at this time is only available to residents in the two LSTF corridors; The Dearne Valley Enterprise Corridor includes Brampton, West Melton, Wath, Manvers and Swinton. The Lower Don Valley Enterprise Corridor includes The Don Valley to Templeborough, Rotherham Town Centre, Parkgate and Rawmarsh.
